Guidelines and Rules
These rules help keep marketIA.ch safe and clear for buyers and sellers. Listings and account actions that break them may be restricted or rejected.
Listings
- Titles and descriptions must accurately describe what you are selling.
- Photos must show the actual item; avoid misleading angles or unrelated images.
- No illegal items, adult content, hate, harassment, or content unsafe for teens.
Unsupported categories
marketIA.ch does not support categories that are illegal, unsafe, highly regulated, perishable, or unsuitable for direct peer-to-peer marketplace sales. This list is general and not exhaustive.
- Food, beverages, alcohol, tobacco or nicotine products, drugs, medicines, supplements, and other ingestible goods.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, hazardous materials, and goods designed to cause harm.
- Illegal or stolen goods, counterfeit products, adult sexual content, and hateful or exploitative material.
- Live animals, protected wildlife, human remains, and animal products whose sale is regulated or prohibited.
- Financial products, currency-like items, controlled substances, and products or services that require authorization marketIA.ch cannot verify.
Choosing “Other Category” does not make an unsupported listing acceptable. AI may suggest a category, send the listing for review, or reject it under these rules.
Questions
Great questions help buyers decide with confidence and give sellers a reason to reply quickly. marketIA.ch reviews every question before it goes live.
Our goal
We want every question to be clear, respectful, and genuinely about the listing — so the marketplace stays helpful for everyone.
What makes a question welcome
- Stay on topic — ask about the item, condition, pickup, delivery, or what is included in the sale.
- Be respectful — no insults, threats, harassment, pressure tactics, or attempts to move the deal off-platform.
- Be clear and honest — one thoughtful question beats vague spam, duplicates, or misleading claims.
- Never share emails, phone numbers, or other direct contact details — keep all communication on marketIA.ch. AI monitors every message for fraud and policy evasion; repeated attempts to bypass these rules can lead to account restrictions or a permanent block.
When a question is not published
Questions that break these rules may be removed. Insults, threats, harassment, scams, or repeated violations can affect your account. Read the rules below before you ask again.
Transaction messages
After a purchase, buyer and seller can chat about delivery and handover. These messages are part of the deal — keep them respectful, on-topic, and on marketIA.ch.
What makes a transaction message welcome
- Stay on topic — discuss the item, delivery, payment steps, pickup, or what was agreed for this transaction.
- Be respectful — no insults, threats, harassment, pressure tactics, or attempts to move the deal off-platform.
- Never share emails, phone numbers, or other direct contact details — keep all communication on marketIA.ch. AI monitors transaction messages for fraud and policy evasion; repeated attempts to bypass these rules can lead to account restrictions or a permanent block.
When messages are restricted
Messages that break these rules may be blocked or removed. Insults, threats, harassment, scams, or repeated violations can affect your account and your ability to message other users.
Rejection reasons
When a listing or question is not published, marketIA.ch assigns one or more reasons from the categories below. These apply to both asset reviews and Q&A moderation.
Disputes & AI-assisted review
Describe what happened with dates, what was agreed, delivery or payment steps, and anything else that matters. marketIA.ch may use AI to help review dispute threads and decide a fair outcome for both parties. After resolution, a score based on that AI dispute outcome may appear on the listing — it is not a peer review and cannot be reported as one. AI tools support decision-making but are not perfect and are not a substitute for careful human review. Outcomes also depend on our marketplace guidelines and your account history. This information is not legal advice.
Outstanding platform fees
Some sellers owe platform fees after a sale or when a listing expires under certain visibility packs. When a fee is open on your account, marketIA.ch may show a reminder bar until it is paid.
- After you complete a sale, a post-sale platform fee may be added to your account. Plus and Max visibility packs include a due date for that fee.
- For Plus and Max packs, if an enforced fee is not paid by the due date, your account can be marked as having pending payments. Buying and Plus or Max publishing are restricted, and active Plus and Max listings may be delisted until the fee is settled. Standard listings can still be published.
- Standard-pack fees may appear on your billing page but are optional — unpaid Standard fees do not restrict publishing or purchases.
- On vehicles and real estate, if contact reveals for a listing are used up, a platform fee may be required before you can publish again with more reveals on that listing.
- While enforced fees remain unpaid, Standard listings can still be published. Plus and Max publishing and purchases stay restricted until you pay from Bills and payments in your profile.
- Open fees are paid securely through Stripe from your profile billing page. Once payment succeeds, restrictions are lifted according to our current rules.
We may update these guidelines. Repeated or serious violations can affect your account.
